This page explains cookies and comparable browser storage used on the publicly accessible Stinvar website.
Susi and Stins
The susi_session cookie associates your Susi conversation and demo Stins balance with your session. It is protected with HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Strict. Fetching the counter can already create a session. There is no fixed expiry; your browser’s session management determines its lifetime.
Appearance
stinvar-theme stores your chosen light or dark appearance in localStorage without a fixed expiry. The stinvar_theme cookie sends the same choice to the Portal entry so that it loads in your selected appearance; it lasts up to one year. Previous appearance preferences are transferred on a page visit and the old storage key is removed.
Susi preferences
stinvar-susi-greeting-v2 and stinvar-susi-temperament store your greeting and temperament choice in the tab’s sessionStorage. Language-specific greetings may also be stored as stinvar-susi-greeting-de, -en or -es. Session restoration can preserve these data. Voice and conversation state are processed separately on the server.
Order functions
The protected order-session cookie associates your request and lasts 24 hours. It is not used for advertising. sessionStorage holds the order reference and a key that prevents duplicate payment attempts. Expiry of browser storage does not automatically erase order evidence on the server.
Portal and Hub
The Portal entry uses a protected session cookie after a successful login. Stinvar Hub uses its own session and appearance preferences on its address. Accounts and sessions in the Stinvar working version are separate from the production environment.
Your control
You can delete or block cookies and website data in your browser. This may reset or affect appearance, login, Susi preferences and demo functions. Local deletion is not an instruction to erase server-side data.
Consent and analytics
The website does not use advertising or audience measurement services. There is no cookie consent dialog. Whether technical storage is permitted without consent depends on the applicable legal requirements; in particular, sessions created before active Susi use require separate assessment.
