How it all began …
Susi was originally meant to solve just one problem: a small business needed to spend less time on phone calls, emails and WhatsApp. Customers needed answers, appointments could no longer get lost, and the countless small tasks of the day could not keep ending up with the owner.
So we experimented. First with conventional chatbots, then with a WordPress bot. Much of it looked interesting at first glance. In real working life, too little remained: too rigid, too unreliable and too far removed from what a business actually needs.
OpenAI changed that. An Assistant, a very long prompt and company knowledge in a vector store created the first genuine sense that this could work. Then OpenAI announced the retirement of those Assistants. At the very moment an experiment was becoming a useful tool, we had to build it ourselves.
That is how Susi 1, Susi 2 and Susi 3 came into being. Ultimate Susi, Susi 7, Susi X and finally Sommer-Susi followed – a large, hard-coded system that already achieved a remarkable amount while revealing how demanding a true digital assistant is in day-to-day operations.
The decisive answer was Sommer-Susi KISS: smaller, clearer and reliable enough to take on real work. It proved that a digital assistant can do more than impress in a demonstration; it can support a real business every day.
One thought remained throughout that development: if this helps us, why should it not help other small businesses too? BubbleBeer grew from that idea.
Today, Susi is far more than a chat. She understands what is happening, creates and tracks tasks, hands work on, organises calendars, communicates with customers, proposes appointments, uses company knowledge, remembers what matters and accompanies ongoing cases. She can also prepare and create quotes and invoices.
SusiBubbleBeer makes that work visible and connects it in one understandable working environment: contacts and suppliers, email, WhatsApp and other communication, tasks and calendars, documents, products, sales, quotes and invoices all work together. Open cases retain their links to company knowledge, while BeerHub, the community, and partner and mentor programmes extend the shared environment. This is not merely a chat interface; it is a place where Susi understands, acts and leaves her work visible.
Users can see what is happening, intervene at any time, take over decisions, change tasks or deliberately let Susi continue working. Susi does not take control away from people. She takes work off their hands – exactly to the extent they choose. Sommer-Susi KISS proved that this works in real business life. BubbleBeer turns that achievement into a comprehensive platform where digital assistance is practical, understandable and controllable.
